Sofia is a woman who has never left her village. She and husband Alfredo, both live a quiet and predictable life at the top of the Andes, far from the coast.
This year, Alfredo has promised her to fulfil her dream of going to the Caribbean, but he always finds an excuse to delay the trip. Sofia fears that life will not provide her a new opportunity to fulfill this dream, but suddenly she feels enough courage as to pursue her adventure. Stubborn Alfredo cannot imagine the lesson he is about to learn.
